S2EP10 – 'Is podcasting dead!?’ by Feed The Queue

The Europeans, a podcast that was launched back in 2017, analyzes Europe and the European Union in an entertaining and accesible way. To understand how this podcast has managed to touch on European politics and culture while entertaining a big audience, Javi Caminero is joined by Katy Lee and Dominic Kraemer, hosts and creators of The Europeans. For several months now, WePod has been organizing workshops in high schools across Europe to teach podcasting to young people. The main objective is for them to learn how to tell stories in audio and to learn as well about all the work involved in making a podcast. In this episode, Javi Caminero is joined by Cathal O’Luanaigh, Program and Communications Manager at News Decoder, WePod’s French Partner, to discuss everything related to these workshops. November 29th saw the premiere of WePod’s second co-production, which is called ‘Camioneros’ in its Spanish version and ‘Vie de routiers’ in French. This documentary analyzes the importance of the job of truck drivers in Europe, one that, until now, had received very little attention. Javi Caminero is joined by the creators of this podcast, journalists Manu Tomillo and Futura D’Aprile, to talk about all the details of their co-production.
